Miller Motorsports Park 2007

BIG TRACK , BIG FUN

In early June 2007 3ZERO3 Motorsports staff and customers joined Audi Club members from many western states at Miller Motorsports Park for 3 days of challenging driver education at America’s premier road course.

For the Audi, Porsche, and VW enthusiast,  there can be nothing more exciting than the prospect of spending three days living at the race track.  For even the most hardcore enthusiast the 4.5 mile road course at Miller Motorsports park, does not disappoint.

The race paddocks at the track were some of the best of in the nation. Clean and modern garage space complete with clean bathrooms and cable TV, gave everyone the opportunity to relax in between runs. Many thanks go out to the 3ZERO3 Technicians who were on hand to complete all of the pre-event technical inspections, as well as supporting tuners and enthusiasts between runs. As the day heated up, and the laps kept coming, small tweaks to boost levels, fuel pressure and other engine parameters were monitored and changed to ensure that cars were operating safely at their fullest capacity.  The paddocks also provided opportunity for any scheduled or unscheduled maintenance needs during the weekend. For those of us that drove out from Colorado, changing tires, brake pads, and possibly even fluids and filters was a must.

Getting the run groups lined up

VW, Audi, and Porsche enthusiasts were placed into run groups based on both driver ability and their vehicles capacity for performance. Each run group typically lapped for 45 minutes or so before coming back into the pits so both driver and vehicle had a chance to recover and cool down. If you have never experienced driving you car to the limit on a challenging race track, it is hard to comprehend the toll the effort takes on both mind and body.

While this was an audi club event, all makes and models were welcome to participate. Interesting conversations could be over heard in between both the VW, Audi, and Porsche enthusiasts and the Subaru and BMW owners as well.
