COLORADO PORSCHE PARADE

PORSCHE CONCOURS : KEYSTONE, COLORADO.

The 54th annual Porsche Parade Concours was hosted at the Keystone ski resort on July 3rd 2009. 3ZERO3 Motorsports customer Rick Glesner was on-hand to behold the beauty of these renowned and revered machines. Thank you Rick for providing us with these photographs !

The Colorado Porsche Parade is a three week long celebration of not only Porsche vehicles, but also the brand and lifestyle. Events span three weeks, beginning the end of july and concluding the second week of July.

In addition to the concours, the Porsche Parade features the following :

  • Driving mountain tour
  • Golf tournament
  • 5K run
  • R/C car race
  • Porsche tech quiz
  • Autocross

Behold ! The legendary and mythical Porsche 959. The German supercar, for without whose technical innovations in the late 1980’s the Porsche brand would not be where it is today. Cars like these, make the trip up from Denver  for us, more than amenable.
pp-4

You do not want to be the one responsible for the maintenance and repair on THIS engine, believe me. Although, working on these cars is a privilege, for the lucky few who do.

pp-5

The mountains of Summit County pale in comparison to the drama and impact of the ever rare Carrera GT.

pp-3

Porsche diesel tractors ? Farmers never had it so good !

pp-2

The iconic 911 RSR.  As a true enthusiast, I get excited just thinking about these cars tearing around a race track at 150mph + , seeing them in person was a thrill.

pp-6

If only turbos were this accessible on my own Audi’s and Vw’s !

pp-7

The 1974 Porsche 911 RSR….. This is probably the number one reason I play the power ball lottery.

pp-9

The 1968 Porsche 908. A vintage Le Mans racer who terrorized Ferrari’s and Fords of its era with its 3.0L flat 8 cylinder engine.

pp-11

More Porsche coolness courtesy of this air cooled airplane engine. Though, being air cooled is less of a technological feat when you have a propellor sitting  in front of the engine where the cooling fan would be.

I really think that porsche should have stuck with making diesel tractors. but i guess that 959 is allright. Lots of nice Porsches!!

    Derek,
Those tractors are pretty sweet, but they don’t lap too fast at the race track. I do agree, that I would buy one if given the chance
