The Colorado Volkswagen and Audi event of the summer, Dubs Along the Rockies, continues to live up to its namesake. The event took place at Pikes Peak International Raceway, a long drive for Denver-ites, but the venue provided plenty of space for all of the events that took place:
Dubs Along the Rockies continues to be an excellent melting pot type event for Colorado and Rocky Mountain car enthusiasts of all types, and not just those specific to the VW, Audi, or Porsche brands. Out on the autocross course there were plenty of VW, Audi’s, Porsches, but also there was no shortage of other dedicated track cars. Everything from boosted Saab 9-3’s, to Mk1 RX-7, to modified super karts were lapping on sunday at the Pikes Peak Raceway. ( Check the back for more autocross and car show coverage !)
Having the competitive car show AND an autocross held at the same event at the same time, really does bring out both ends of the performance VW, Audi enthusiast spectrum.
The competitive car show brings out one type of VW, and Audi enthusiast, while events like the autocross bring another type of person. The combination lends itself to a unique interaction of owners, vehicles, and vendors. If you missed this years events, you should make Dubs Along the Rockies a destination for the summer of 2010. At 3ZERO3 Motorsports, we continue to bring you the best in maintenance, repair, and high performance tuning, and support all of our customers at these events as well.

Thankfully the weather cooperated for Sunday, providing us with plenty of sun for the critical eye of the car show judges.

Many thanks to Travis Prebble who showed his Mk4 GTI in the 3ZERO3 Motorsports display. This car is for sale folks, email us for more info.

Once inside the paddock event goers had shaded access to the 3ZERO3 Motorsports B5 S4, as well as other remarkable Volkswagen and Audi vehicles.

Another thanks goes out to Tim Mulcahy for displaying his purpose built B5 A4 1.8T in the 3ZERO3 Motorsports booth.
Tim’s car has a custom BIG turbo setup, complete with fully built Audi Tiptronic automatic transmission. Unlike Travis’ GTI, this car is very much NOT for sale

As always, 3ZERO Motorsports was on hand, displaying all of our brilliant merchandise and display items, handing out bottled water and answering any and every question possible in regards to maintenance, repair, high performance tuning and motorsports applications for owners and vehicles of all types. If there are any other shows you would like to see 3ZERO3 Motorsports attend in the Denver, Colorado area, please email us and let us know.
