More engine work for Randy. Here Randy is swapping a V6 sourced from an Audi A4 into a Audi 90. In this shot Randy has the engine upsidedown, as he prepares the oil pan to be sealed and installed to the bottom of the engine block.
Applying additional sealant to the engine oil pan, to ensure that the gasket is properly sealed. I asked Randy about this sealant, and this process is a result of his 30+ years of working on Audi’s. ” Just a little extra protection” Randy said. Watching him build and install engines is captivating, the detail and methodology behind his work shines thru on every bolt and seal he touches.
Here the transmission on the Audi 90 sits, input shaft exposed as it waits for the new V6 to be installed. Transmissions always look lonely without engines attached.
The intake manifold awaits prep and installation amongst other intake components. Can you notice the W.Germany stamp just below the 4 rings on the manifold ?
Aaron Marshall-” Law” inspects the air filter on a Audi B6 A4. Aaron is inspecting the air filter with a flash light and mirror. Another great trick from an experienced and skilled factory trained technician.

Thanks Zac. Those WG stamps are all over VW/audi’s of a particualr vintage, wheels, engines, everywhere. The technicians are used to seeing it, but most owners less so.
