Misconception: Cars under Factory Warranty Must Go to the Dealership for Service
If your new or used car is still under factory warranty, where do you take it for service? There is a common misconception that it must go to the dealership, otherwise the warranty will be void. This is certainly not the case! The Right to Repair Act requires automobile manufacturers to provide the same information to independent repair shops as they do to dealerships. (1) This allows consumers to service their cars at a shop of their choosing, on the basis that the services are performed in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the manufactures. The vehicles must be serviced at the correct intervals and with the correct products for the factory warranty to remain intact.
3zero3 Motorsports is able to perform all scheduled maintenance services while your late model Audi, BMW, Porsche, Volkswagen, or Mini Coper is still under warranty, keeping warranty coverage intact. Our technicians inspect every car during scheduled maintenance and take the time to ensure items that should be covered under warranty are. We then give you the information and verbiage needed to relay back to the dealer so they can perform warranty repairs that you may not have known your car needed. This is one of the greatest values we can offer to our clients who own cars under factory warranty.
How is our inspection different then what you get at the dealer? What most German Car owners don’t know is that dealership technicians are limited to only addressing concerns reported by the client or safety related items. This excludes them from reporting warranty issues that may be present, with the exception of safety issues present. Having technicians on staff who have previously worked for dealerships, 3zero3 Motorsports has experienced this warranty inspection conundrum first hand and knows the best way for our clients to get all that they can from each trip to the dealer.
We know it is a choice to bring your German Automobile to 3zero3 Motorsports. We want our clients to get greatest value from their car and the warranty that came with it. We intend to earn your trust and respect on your 1st, 2nd, or 3rd visit and 10 years later. To schedule maintenance or an inspection of your car, call us at 303-456-8383 or click here.
